Membrane Sweep 39weeks

Just curious if any of you ladies had experience with the membrane sweep? Doc did one today but I'm only 1.5cm dilated, 20%effaced, and cervix is soft but still posterior. He said he expects me to deliver in the next week but being a ftm I'm nervous to get my hopes up. Baby is at a -3 station. He did a "small sweep" last week but baby was still high so I didn't think he could actually do it. No progress for dilation between this week and last week though I believe I started to lose my plug. I'm not terribly anxious to get baby out but I don't want to end up being induced like my mother was with all her pregnancies! Any experience to share ladies?
