Period playing tricks

I am currently 5 days away from my period starting. 2 days ago I had severe cramps and yesterday I bled all over my beautiful new peach colored laced panties because I didn't know I was going to start. 
Well... no period today. 
Have you guys ever experienced a pop up period like that? 
I am 100% sure that my real period will be here in 5 days... but I wanna make sure I am not the only one who has experienced this.
