Pregnancy after 30?

Question

So, initially I wasn't really planing to have children until about 35 but recently I've done some reading about how that poses risks for both the baby's health as well as the pregnant mom.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any sources that support or contradict this information as well as personal experiences with pregnancy at 30+

I'm 33 & pregnant with my rainbow baby. We wanted to have children earlier than this, but my body had it's own plans & so it took us 2 years of trying. Some don't get to choose "when", we have to take what we can get.🤗

After 40 is when The risks of complications and disabilities to your child increase extremely. Below that I wouldn't worry too much. Pregnancy at 35 may pose more risks, but women have healthy pregnancies at that age

I was about to turn 33 when I was pregnant with my first baby and am considering trying for a second before I am 35 to make sure I don't fall in that higher risk category. Plenty of healthy babies are born to older mums but it's a scientific fact that the quality of your eggs declines with age and you are at increased risk of birth defects and complications at 35+. I'm happy I waited with kids until I actually felt ready and financially stable but I'm also aware that it is harder on me physically now than it would have been in my twenties. Pros and cons all over the place.

I had my first at 32 and second at 34. Both of  my pregnancies were good and I have 2 healthy beautiful babies

I've always heard 40 and over poses more health risks to mom and baby. You should be fine.

My grandma ( rip) had her last child at the age of 56. My aunt is a little looney but my whole family is bat shit crazy. The human body can do amazing things.

I had my baby at 29 and minus gestational diabetes it was very healthy!  My doctors did say it will get harder as you get older.  But as long as you follow your doctors advise and take care of yourself you will be ok!  I want two more so I will be having them in my 30s

35 seems to be the magic number where risks go up so I have made sure I will be done having kids before then. I'm about to have baby #2 (and final) at the age of 33.
