HCG after m/c?

So I went to the ER the other night because I was bleeding and cramping and the doc told me they believed I was miscarrying. So we had a few days to accept I had a miscarriage and move on. My primary care provider told me she wanted to monitor my hcg levels until they got to 0. And within two days my levels doubled and my cervix is still closed. Has this happened to anyone else after m/c? Is it possible the doctor was mistaken and I still have a baby in there?

What was the reason they said they thought you were miscarrying? Because of cramping and bleeding?? If so, that is not a big enough indication. If your levels are doubling, that's a better indication that you're NOT miscarrying. I'm not trying to get your hopes up, but I know PLENTY of people who have bled and cramped in their first trimester and baby was perfectly fine. Keep getting those numbers checked. Good luck!!!

They should've given you an ultrasound cramping and bleeding is more common then it's bought to be in early pregnancy. I wouldn't believe it's a miscarriage until you can an ultrasound to confirm.
