it was not bad at all...positive story :)

Its been 6 weeks since i gave birth to my beautiful baby girl Adalynn....i am fully healed and got kind of on track on being mommy! And now i finally have a moment to write down my birth story.
I have to mention first that before i even went in labor i was scared poopless by strangers who all seemed to have their own horror stories about how bad their labor was and how badly mine was going to suck as well specially since i was going to be induced!
....so i went in at 5am to be induced. I was already at 4cm :O which was surprising because i had been sitting on 2cm for couple of weeks. They got pitocin running exactly at 6am and at that point i told my nurse that my goal is to be done in 6hrs and feel no pain. She just laughed and told me that on average first time birthers go 12-24 hours with induction so i prepped myself for a long day.
As soon as they turned pitocin on, i started having very very very mild period cramps to the point where i wasnt sure if i was imagining those. I decided to take a nap before pains got intense. They checked me every hour to turn up pitocin and check my bloods since i had GD.
I woke up at 9am because my doc came in to check my cervix and break my waters. I was already at 6cm so she told me that if i want to have epidural then do it now or i might not have the time later because my baby could be there by lunch(she was joking with lunch). So although i still didnt have any pains i agreed to get one and OH BOY am i glad i decided to get one because as soon as she broke my waters, the intense, painful contractions kicked in! I was still able to breath through those but they were not fun. Luckily the time between my waters breaking and epidural kicking in was about 10-15 mins and after that i couldnt feel anything but mild contractions again.
I fell back asleep and at 11.20am nurse came to check on me. I told her i had a weird butt discomfort, like i need to go nr 2. She checked my cervix and holy smokes she could see baby coming! Told me not to push or baby will come before doctor. Luckily i had no urge to. At 11.45 the doc got there. Since i couldnt feel pain, we were joking in between contractions and talking about life.
...and then...at 12.07pm weighing 7lbs  3oz and was 20in long! The only time i cried during this delivery was when i saw my daughter! I literally lost it!
So all in all my labor ended up lasting only 6hrs. About 10 mins of pain and epidural is great! I got to meet my daughter fully rested! It was great!
