Hi all,

Our perfect little Ellen is 3 days old today. The first night at home, she was cluster feeding every 20 minutes, so I could not put her in her crib for very long at all. She ended up sleeping right in my arms on the couch all night. Last night, she ate every 3 hours as the doctor said that she should, but still would not calm down in her crib. We spent another night on the couch. I'm wondering if this is the norm, because she's still so young, or if I should be letting her cry in her crib? I feel like I'm not teaching her that mommy is always here for her if I let her cry for too long (we're talking more than 5 or 10 minutes), but I know that the crib is the safest place for her. Any advice?
