did I lose the baby?

I'm worried I may have lost the baby or that the pregnancy isn't viable. I want to see if anyone has had similar experiences...

I had a positive pregnancy test at 4w2d... 2 days later I started bleeding. It started as a light pink and brown, then turned bright red. Wasn't enough to fill a pad throughout the day and very distinctly different from a period.

This morning my bleeding has stopped, bled for 2 days total. Never enough blood to fill a pad, light bleeding only. I called my OBGYN and the nurse said to call on Monday to let her know if I'm still bleeding and to go to the ER if it gets worse.

I took another pregnancy test this morning and it said "not pregnant." I am hopefully 5 weeks today. Has anyone had a similar experience??

Sort of...I started spotting around the five week mark. Never enough to do anything more than color the toilet paper. Went to the doctor and he he said the spotting wasn't from inside my cervix and said I had a bacterial infection which he supposedly fixed with some peanut butter looking stuff while he was looking inside. In any case, the spotting never stopped. He continued to say it was fine. Went in for my US appointment at 9 weeks and the baby had stopped growing at 5w1d. He was optimistic and said I likely got pregnant later than I thought. I knew better since I had been tracking and knew exactly when I ovulated, had sex, and took tests...it was a missed miscarriage. I passed the tissues about a week later (10w). Apparently it took my body 5 weeks to get the message.

It's not a happy story. I'm sorry...but it also doesn't mean that yours will end similarly. Many women spot and they carry to term. I even knew one women who had what seemed like a period each month during her pregnancy and never had any problems. So, don't assume the worst.

Sounds like you may have had a chemical pregnancy. I'm so sorry. Go check with your care giver to be sure.

If you took the strips can you tell if the line has faded?

Could be a chemical pregnancy where the egg was fertilized but didn't attach to your uterine wall, and the egg just passed like a regular "late period." It's concidered a very early mid carriage. Where it's too early to pick up anything on an ultrasound.. I would definitely get checked though, and get blood work to be sure.

I hate to say this is exactly what happened to me, positive on the Friday, bleed a little Saturday and a negative on the Sunday the only silver lining was I got pregnant to following month and I'm now 17 weeks with di/di twins so it oviously sent my body into overdrive!!

Plus if it says not pregnant, and you're bleeding, than you most likely passed the egg.

Did they do bloodwork to check your hCG? It sounds like a chemical, I'm sorry😔

What blood type are you? If you haven't gone to you're OBGYN I would go. Just to make sure
