I'm pregnant and have had a lot of trouble deciding if I should abort or keep it. I'm 21 and I work and the guy I'm dating is a bonehead but he's considerate. Advice?

I doubt he would leave he loves kids but I don't believe he's emotionally ready for this. Which is what makes me fearful.

Are you financially able to raise a child? Will the father possibly leave you? Will you still have a stable job as you're pregnant? Will the father help you pay for the child and support you while you're on maternity leave? Do you know how much it costs to raise a child? Are you done with your education and have a stable living place?

If you aren't feeling ready, I would go to Planned Parenthood and discuss your options. They can really help you out and give you advice that is specific to your situation.

Also, to those who will say "adoption"-- it's incredibly expensive and taxing on the body to even go through a pregnancy, only to let the baby go (and that's if the father doesn't change his mind and demand that they raise it once it's born). I've also been through the system and I would never risk letting my child go home with some of the psychos out there. I've heard a lot of great adoption stories but I've also heard and witnessed enough bad ones (my neighbor) not to risk ever letting my child go through that system myself.
