Does your baby enjoy solids?

My lo does not seem to enjoy food. She is ebf, and i have a hard time introducing solids. Tried puré food and she only likes apples n pears, like 2 3 teaspoons. She hates vegies. Been trying for the past month. I also tried blw but she threw up twice so i kinda freaked out and did not try again. Share away :)

I am doing baby led weaning and so far she hasn't liked much lol but we just started Wed, so I am not worried. We did bananas first and she hated them lol then we tried carrots, which she ate a little the first time and ignored the next two. She we tried avocados tonight and she kinda seemed to like them! But, it's my understanding that they don't absolutely need food until 7-9 months, so this is just practice really :-)

Avocados? Okay, I can munch on this.

I heard sometimes  if you give them fruit they won't take veg after cos fruit is sweet and tastier . Try sweet veg like organic carrots or butternut squash or sweet potato

Try not to worry about it too much. You're ebf so all your baby's nutritional needs are in your milk. Remember: "Food before One is just for Fun" 😊

Just started  my lb on finger food.. we pretty much skipped  purees  until  last week so he could have a taste of something  not milk.. he absolutely  loved baby corn, i didnt love the nappy afterwards 🙈

My LO has eaten a lot of different things, but she doesn't prefer purees or eating off spoon. I put soft chunks on her tray that she will try to put in her mouth and she will open up when I use my fingers. Will not eat them off of the spoon though! Mealtimes have been messy but fun. She loves bananas and sweet potatoes, and has eaten avocado, cauliflower,  broccoli, apple, grapes, pasta, and butternut squash.

We are doing BLW. Don't let the throwing up scare you off. It is Babies instincts doing what they are made to do. The gag reflex on baby is really close to the tip of their tongue and when they are learning how to manipulate food around their mouth they sometimes trigger that gag reflex to preserve their life. When they do they sometimes throw up. Completely normal. My little one occasionally throws up but now after doing BLW for 3ish weeks he is doing much better! And my LO loves steak, cucumber, zucchini, and banana!

My daughter absolutely loves eating solids. She loves it all, except carrots. She ate them, but wasn't happy about it. Did banana today and she went crazy for them,  loved them.

We tried starting with baby cereal and homemade apple puree but my baby hated both after a couple of bites, even after multiple attempts over several days.  Since he is ALWAYS reaching for our food when we're eating, we tried giving him some finger foods (steamed carrot sticks, broccoli stems, asparagus, baked sweet potato sticks, etc) and he has been going to town!  Our pediatrician says most babies don't like that much texture, which is why so many people start with purees, but it's perfectly fine to let him eat more solid foods as long as what we give him isn't a choking hazard (and no honey until 1 year).  He really seems to enjoy feeding himself!

My daughter doesn't like solids yet either. She hated bananas, seemed OK with carrots and kind of liked avocado the first time bit now doesn't want it. We just keep trying every day or every other day, but we don't stress if she doesn't want it.
