Ttc and was due on my period but for the last 4 days I've been spotting. I didn't think anything of it and just thought my period was due. I don't usually spot but I know it can happen. Today I started to get cramps, which I do get but there are bearable and don't last long, however they became really intense. I had to keep getting up to walk around and had lower back pain too. I was burning up but was cold and shivery and just felt odd. I went to the toilet - i had clots and very dark red/brown blood. The pain killers eventually kicked in and I got some sleep. The pain had gone when I woke up but I now have a dull ache in my lower abdomen and lower back and the blood is still stringy. Could this just be a freak period or something else? I guess I'll never really know - I never took a pregnancy test so there is no way of knowing if I was pregnant or not.
