Atheists: If your young children ( or teens not old enough to drive) wanted to go to church, would you take them?

I'm agnostic, not atheist, but I have no problem letting my child be their own person with their own set of beliefs. I would love for my child to explore all different religions, not just one, and make their own decision as I did.

Christians: if your child(ren) told you they don't want to go to church anymore, would you still make them go? Or if they asked to try out other religions, would you let them?

I'm atheist but if my kid wanted to go I'd take them; it might be hard. But I won't push my beliefs on my kids.

I am technically catholic and my husband Lutheran... our beliefs align with each other, not with Christianity. We have decided that when our daughter is older we will happily allow her to explore as many and whatever religions she wants... and fully support her!

As an atheist I plan on raising my daughter to be open minded and a free thinker and come to her own conclusions about things like religion. My husband is a believer, though not necessarily in the biblical sense. My father in law is VERY religious, runs the youth group at the church, wears jesus hats/shirts, etc. So she will have access to different points of view. If she's like 5th/6th grade or older and wanted to go to church I certainly wouldn't stop her, however I wouldn't take her since I don't believe in it. My husband or her grandpa could take her.

I guess I'm agnostic but I was raised Catholic.

I would gladly support my children in finding their own belonging, beliefs, and happiness. I would drive them AND if I was allowed to stay, I would support and learn with them. No matter what religious building it was in.

We arent religious but if our son or daughter wanted to learn about any religion wed be more than happy to take them to any church or place of worship so they could learn and gain the knowledge and speak to anyone about that religion who could help them even if its going from one to the other trying to figure out their own paths

I'm an atheist and my husband is a JW. We will raise our children with open minds and let them choose for themselves. If my kids want to go to church, as much as I hate church myself, I will take them.

Depends on the situation, honestly. I'd probably talk openly about religion at home first.

Last church service I took someone to was 'look at this good thing a christian did, an atheist wouldn't do that' so no I would not take my child to that because I wouldn't want them growing up like that. They can believe what they want but I highly doubt any of my children will ask to go to church.
