On sept 3 at 21 weeks I gave birth to my son due to him having bilateral multicyctic dysplastic kidneys. That is where there were cycsts on both kidneys which cause them not to function or make amniotic fluid. He was not able to live outside the womb. This has been extremely traumatic for me and I am so scared moving forward. The last time we ttc my husband took maca pills to boost libido. I also read it can help sperm. I am now wondering if this could have caused the birth defect? Has anyone used maca or had their spouse use it and have a healthy pregnancy? The dr said what happened to my son was a fluke but I'm so scared since we are trying again.
