am i supposed to pop this cold sore? i haven't been touching it besides putting medicine on it & i started it about 2-3 days ago. I have had them before & i usually don't touch it but i feel like i should

I'm not sure that's a cold sore. I think  its a pimple.

If you do pop it, make you you clean the area really well! I'd use hydrogen proxide to clean it out then rubbing alcohol to make t sterile. Personally, i'd pop it.

That doesn't look like a cold sore, it looks like a pimple.

Cold sores usually have clear yellow fluid like blisters. Kind of like if you had 2nd degree burns. And are accompanied by swelling and inflammation of the surrounding skin. They feel very itchy, and painful and you can feel pulsating. If after a few days it starts crusting then yes you have the herpes virus outbreak but if it pops on its own and nothing happens then it's safe to say that's just a pimple.

Keep it clean, don't touch it too much, whether or not it's a pimple or cold sore, touching it can make it more infected. If you can get some antiseptic cream, place it on a qtip/cotton bud and apply some on and around the area it'll help kill the bacteria and prevent further infection.

Cold sores look more like this 
You can see the difference in colour, and the amount of blisters. A herpes outbreak more commonly has several blisters clustered together, and very red and swollen surrounding tissue. If it turns to look like this then do not touch it, do not pop or peel it. Those blisters are highly contagious.
