Hey! So I had Mirena for about 2 years and had to get it removed because it embedded in my uterus. This would happen to me sometimes, but only during sex. My OB/GYN said Mirena produces large thick mucus in the cervix to protect little swimmers from entering ! The stringy stuff is an indicator that your body is ovulating. It's quite normal but if you have any concerns, please consult your doctor! I wouldn't always refer to glow for "medical advice" !

When I first got on depo, in my first shot cycle, [three months] one day I woke up with the worlds worst cramps, and I had never gotten bad cramps. I was laying in a recliner, when I say up and I felt this "gush" I ran to the bathroom to see this "chunk" of God only knows what! Like a handful! That's nothing to worry about. Hormonal IUDs thicken your cervical mucus and change its consistency. Occasionally a bit of it plops out. Gross, but my doctor said it's nothing to be concerned about.

Was you recently pregnant? If so I would think it's just the lining of your uturus. Nothing to bad if that's the cause but would check with your dr. I have mirana also I got a little one but couldn't tell if it was that or a blood clot. Still on my period from having my son
