Girls with fibromyalgia?? Help please💓

Im so confused. I found out i have fibromyalgia but my dr said the pain ks always both sides. Like if one leg hurts the other should?? Is this true?

My left leg has been hurting for days my right one will on and off but my left leg is just numb and uncomfortable and ill get a burning sometimes twingey pain that spasms on occasion.

Ive been afraid of blood clots but was told i have no real symptoms of a clot aside from leg pain.

So basically im wondering can this be my fibro? I was diagnosed with it but never really told how it can effect my body. My dr isnt helpful.

When I was diagnosed with Fibro, it was described to me as this:
When my body experiences stress, whether illness, injury, weather or emotional stress, my immune system goes into overdrive. I get migraines, back pain, heart palpitations, anxiety spikes and illnesses last for forever.

My doctor told me that the tender spot test for fibro is a crock because people with fibro don't always have pain, and not always on both sides. I don't have a lot of pain.

I have hyper-extendable joints, I can feel my body react to stress, I have anxiety symptoms most of the time, I have lacing on my arms and legs, and chronic respiratory issues.

The important thing to remember is that fibro is an Autoimmune disorder. This means your immune system reacts inappropriately to stimuli. Everyone therefore has different symptoms.

Unfortunately, Autoimmune disorders are very difficult to diagnose. A lot of them have similar symptoms. I would go see a rheumatologist because they specialize in Autoimmune. They can help to rule things in or out.

I only got diagnosed with fibro a few months ago and with all the research I've been doing, I think it was the wrong diagnosis. So research!! And don't be afraid to ask for more tests or a new doctor. Contact me if you want to talk.

Honestly, doctors use that diagnosis when they can't explain why someone is experiencing pain without any trauma or cause. A lot of people say it's a fake diagnosis to begin with, but yet the patient still suffers with pain. I would get a second opinion.
