are water births truly better than hospital beds?

Title says it all! Just curious. Would love to hear experiences of water births vs hospital births.

I had a water birth in a hospital. The water really helped with the pain  of contractions and it felt like such a relief to get in there! It was v relaxed and we had our own music on and low lighting. There were no problems with me or the baby throughout and when our baby was born I got to catch him and put him on my chest which was lovely. I did however haemorrhage badly after and we had to get out of the pool rather than stay in there  for skin to skin. The bleed was completely unexpected, I had a healthy low risk pregnancy/labour. Although I recovered very quickly, I feel lucky to have been in a hospital setting to receive such swift and competent care. So although I wholeheartedly recommend water births as an amazing experience I personally would be v cautious about having one at home, having seen how quickly and unexpectedly complications can occur.

My friend had a wonderful experience with her water birth and so did her sisters but I just read an article online last night about stories where moms had horrible things go wrong. I think it's all about whether or not you have a low risk pregnancy and if you trust your midwife

I think there's different expectations for it BUT water births do relax you even more and makes it easier for the baby to get out.. BUT also you do need iv and stuff like that just in case something happens to the mother.... also i think if you want to do water birth, you have to be very healthy and have nothing wrong with you.. as in like high blood pressure , diabetes ETC. Im actually going to college to become a midwife and i would like to help people that are interested in this. 🙏☺️👼🏻
