Our Sex Drives

So, almost two years ago I lost my virginity to my current boyfriend. He is in the military so as far as long distance goes, our sex life is off and on. We lived together for 3 months, but I had to move back again recently. He told me he has been "helping himself" everyday while I barely have since we've been apart. He's constantly telling me how he's horny.. But I don't get that but ever so often, and now that has him questioning is it him, or is it me? He's worried I'll get bored but I think it's just because i don't have that much knowledge about sex except from him. Advice please?
