I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant with my and my husbands first child. My mother, with the help of my aunt were suppose to throw me a baby shower. Needless to say that will not be happening, since nothing got done or was discussed. What bothers me the most is that both my sisters got baby showers (my oldest sister got two). Plus, my younger sister is pregnant with her 2nd child and more than likely will have another baby shower, especially if she is having a boy. I know right now my mother isn't in the best financial position, but we could have kept it simple with just family and a few close friends. However, my sister-in-laws are throwing me a baby shower scheduled for November 20th. So I guess that makes me feel a little better. I just wish my mother had made an effort or made it known I wasn't going to get a baby shower.
