Makeup?

So I want to do my makeup and feel like a bad bitch every now and again but I can never do it, but on my forehead in between my brows, and sometimes on my upper lip it always gets patchy and weird looking. How do I avoid that? Are there any tips on at least doing my make up over acne (I know its not recommended but this is for a special occasion) without it looking so weird?

I don't know how to do make up and it's so embarrassing to me and I don't really wanna ask for help because I'm afraid of looking dumb.
