My baby was a premie (34 weeks). She didn't even get a feeding tube until 3 weeks old. And we didn't even get to try latching until she was 2 months. I was pumping the time she was in the NICU until 2 1/2 months because I was stressed out and was tired of the routine. I managed to get a good supply that lasted until baby was 9 months old. She didn't leave the hospital until 3 1/2 months though.

My son latched the first day but had to go to the NICU for fever and was bottle fed😩 now I have to pump and my boobs feel like they are going to explode.

Yes my son wouldn't latch so I had to use formula and I cried forever about it

Lots of babies aren't very good at latching when they're born but almost all of them can figure it out with a little help and a lot of practice (they just don't often get the practice before the pair gives up). I just squeezed a few drops of milk out at a time and had baby lap them up over and over again all day long and she'd eventually decide that she might like to latch. Even babies with a cleft palate can eventually figure out nursing, and at the Rey least can be fed by using manual expression and then letting them lick the milk up or sipping it from a spoon or syringe.
