can you bathe a newborn in the sink?

we dont have the room to store the plastic baby tubs but im wondering if anyone bathed their LO in the kitchen sink after the stump from the cord falls off. we dont have a bath tub here. just a shower

Yes, just put a towel down inside to make it softer and give them kind of a sponge bath when they are tiny then you can bathe them sitting up when they get bigger. Heck, my son 2.5 and sometimes he still gets sink baths. :)

I know people who have showered with their new babies. Doesn't matter how you wash them as long as you're with them and they aren't likely to fall or get hurt.

I don't have space for a tub either but I've seen a few that fold. However the sink is fine.

I just did sponge bath type stuff till they were bigger (don't remember how big) and then my husband would give them a shower when he took one. 
It was the easiest thing for me 😀

Just wash your sink out first. My mom bathed all 4 of us in the kitchen sink. That's what I'm planning to do b/c our tub is crazy deep!

I did with my first! It was just to hard to bathe her in the tub at first. I would just use the faucet like a shower head, just like they do in the hospitals... once she could hold her head up, still used the sink! Would have water everywhere 😂 plan to do the same with #2

Yes, a lot of times it is much easier that way. They even make sink inserts specifically bathing baby in the sink

When I'm at my mom house, she just use a big washing bowl. Usually the ones you can find at the flea market.
