pink thickish discharge 2 days before period

Is this normal? Ive never experienced it, ive always just had blood. I have had nausea, sore boobs and stuff like that but i thought it was because i was about to start my period.. have anyone experienced this type of discharge without being pregnant or when they are pregnant!?
