Do you lose a lot of hair?

I swear, every time I brush my hair I pull out fistfuls. My boyfriend has my hair all over his clothes, it's all over my clothes. All over my carpet, counters, everywhere I look is my hair.. Yet I never seem to have thinking hair. Do you experience this?

I've spoken to my doctor about this same thing. I was told that it's just dead hair and it's pushed out of the follicle by healthy, growing hair. It's not something to worry about. Now, if you lay on a pillow and there is a fistful without you brushing or pulling it, that might be something but other than that, shedding is normal.
