Quick background:

He - 26 yr old, carpenters apprentice, has his own place, works 7 days a week most weeks because he does some subcontracting during the weekend by choice. We live in the same town.

Me - 21 yr old, 4th yr university student who has bipolar disorder, applying for medical school, I'm a teachers assistant at school and also a sexual health educator and do a lot of volunteering

Problem: We started dating end of August but just became exclusive about 2 weeks ago. Usually we see each other every 2 weeks or so which is...not what I'd like but our schedules conflict a lot. I am currently in the middle of exams. Very, very, very stressed because I have 3 exams between Wednesday and Thursday and a quiz and exam on Monday along with volunteering and planning a review session. It's hard to not tell I'm stressed...like...my acne is a dead give away 😂.

Anyway, at the beginning he would text everyday etc and I would reciprocate more than happy to chat since we don't see each other that often but our conversations would never really get far because he would stop responding and when I wasn't stressed I was fine with it, I knew he was tired or hanging with friends...a bit annoyed but still let it go. Now that I NEED him to actually talk to me past fucking 6pm and have expressed how stressed out I am he seems to be pulling away. I usually initiate our conversations now and only get about 4 or 5 responses before everything just stops. I know I send much longer texts than him and maybe he's too lazy to read them but I feel so unsupported right now. I mean, 2 months into dating and this is how he handles me being stressed? It's such a huge red flag for me because I have another 4-8 years of school left once I get into medical school and I know I'll be stressed constantly during that time. I've been trying my best to see things from his point of view and be considerate but that's hard considering all my previous partners have understood my stress right away and been more than willing to help calm me down. I've thought about saying something but the relationship is so new and I just don't want to start drama in the middle of my "hell week".
