What to expect when i go into labor?? *LONG BIRTH STORY & TMI*
I am 37 weeks with my second child and completely clueless of what to expect when i go into labor and check into the hospital. *LONG BIRTH STORY* With my daughter, i went into labor at 39 weeks 2 days and went to the hospital. My midwife had confirmed i was in labor and had said i was only dilated to a 2 but my cervix was indeed a "laboring cervix" and had me walk around for an hour. She said when that hour was up i was going to be checked again and then get sent out of triage to the labor and delivery room and get prepped for my epidural. I was in so much pain i was crying and the nurse had the nerve to tell me "oh its not that bad" -.- anyways.. 
I walked and walked and walked around that hospital until 7pm (an hour later) and my midwife was changing shifts so a different midwife came in and checked me- still at a 2. So she told me i was being discharged and sent to labor at home until my water breaks. We left the hospital as i was still contracting horribly and my MIL decided we should go eat. We went to a small diner and i could eat whenever i wasnt having a contraction but it was getting too bad i had to go lay down in the car and wait. My SO was worried so he came with me.
We go home, and i decide to take a shower to try to help with my back pain and contractions. Once that was done i tried to get some sleep but i just couldnt. I was tossing and turning, moaning and groaning, crying, and my poor hunny was trying to sleep next to me and rub my back but nothing was helping. I got up to pee and went into the bathroom. When i wiped i felt something kindof like a balloon and *silly i know* took a picture with my phone. I called my fiance into the bathroom and showed him, he got his mom who told me it was probably more of my mucus plug. I felt it slowly coming out so i sat down and it came out. I believed her since i never had this before {now that i look back on it im almost positive thats when my water broke}.
Almost immediately afterwards i felt the need to poop and i cant poop with others around so i told them they needed to leave. I sat down, still naked from my shower, and tried to go #2. Trying to use the bathroom during strong ass contractions is a real pain in the ass. But i finally went and still felt the urge to go. But this time something felt off. {once again im silly} but i grabbed my phone and took a picture once again. This time, it was my babys head in the picture, hair and all!! I start freaking out, screaming for my fiance or anyone who could hear me.
I remember birth videos i had watched on Youtube and tried to use those to help me, so i grab the window ledge next to me and put my feet up on the bathtub in front of me and pushed as hard as i can, slowly counting to 10. Eventually, her head came out and once again i am screaming for somebody, anybody but nothing so i continue and then boom before i know it i had pulled my daughter out, grabbed the nearest towel i could find and sat back down on the toilet and wiped her off and made sure she was breathing and okay.
She was born at 2:18am, about 7 hours after being discharged from the hospital. I grab my phone and call my MIL who was downstairs, she comes rushing to the bathroom and gets her friend {we were staying at a family friends house, so embarrassing} and they call 911. I dont really remember much after that until we got to the hospital.
ANYWAYS! This time around i am 37 weeks and super scared to go into labor because i dont know what to expect when i have to deliver there since i delivered my first completely on my own! I am nervous and terrified. Can anyone tell me what i should expect when delivering my baby in a hospital this time around?? Thank you and sorry for the long read!!
