The name "September" for a baby girl?

My mother was born and died in September. I've always thought it would be a pretty name for a girl, but I can't tell if 1) my child will hate me for it, and/or 2) it will make me sad every time I say it. Thoughts?

I am personally not a fan of month names for babies. I think it is sweet you want to honor your mom and its your baby so if you really want to go for it and don't let anyone change your mind.  That being said if I were in your situation I don't think I could name my child after the month my mother died in, it would remind me too much of a sad time instead I would name her after something she really loved so that every time you say her name you smile and know your mom is smiling too, Like a favorite flower. If you want to stick with the September theme you could always do a name like Ember or Autumn.

I think if I were named that, I would probably prefer it as a middle name. It's very pretty and it holds some personal significance but it doesn't seem like it would be the easiest name to have for your whole life. Just my opinion, if you love it and think that's whats best, use it!
