Is it worth it?

We stay in Texas, I don't know if that matters, but are the hospital pictures worth the money? Or should we take our son else where?

When my son was born we did buy the hospital pictures! Honestly they were the first pictures of him and I loved them! I bought the disk for $110 and it included all of the pictures and I got the disk that day and the online codes! We did also do a separate newborn session when he was 10 days old! With this baby I'll probably do both again! There's just something I loved about the hospital pictures with his little hospital band!

We aren't going to do them, mainly because I feel like they are overpriced for the photos that you get. Plus I do photography and I'm just not going to pay someone else for doing what I can do lol. I'm just going to take our daughters newborn photos myself within the first couple weeks.

I don't live in Texas but I plan on going elsewhere. First, because I heard it takes forever to get them and second the photographer I go to is only $45 a session.

I know most hospital have improved their pictures but for the cost I'd just have a private session within the first few weeks. You'll get more and better poses for the cost.
