Tanning?

What do you think about tanning in a tanning bed? Have any of you ever had complications like skin cancer from it?

My uncle died of skin cancer at 31 and he didn't even tan. The fact that people still do this is insane to me. A parent that allows their teen to tan might as well hand them a pack of cigarettes.

Also...celebrities have completely stopped using tanning beds (though they still do spray tanning) because of the horrendous premature aging effects.

I have tanned before, I think it's bad but I did it anyways. With the way the world is now especially with woman, people don't care if somethings bad for you, if there's competition or if you want to look sexy or cute then you "have to be tan". It's actually pretty sad. Like for some reason tan skin is way more sexy than procelain skin or light skin. It's so sad. Society has embedded these things in the minds of people today and it's sad! That's why we have so many problems. There's always a standard you "have" to reach to be beautiful. 😞🙄

My daughter goes to the NIH because of her genetic skin condition that causes skin cancers and neurological problems. The doctors there have said several doctors have tried to get them banned. They are the worst you could do for your body. It causes melenoma.

I cant use a tanning bed due to the fact that I burned my leg horrendously at 16 and now my risks of skin cancer are higher. It's okay because I'm pale as shit and like it.

I've always been really pale and liked to stay that way. My mum used to go on them before going on holiday to "get used" to heat, whatever the hell that means. And she used to tell me I should go on them...which totally baffled me because she's a health nut and always going on at me to be healthy. It amazes me people can't make the connection as to why tanning beds are bad.
