Bloody tissue in navel piercing

I got my belly button done in April and a few weeks ago I went to my piercer about changing the ring and he said I should be ok so I did change it but I changed it back and lately it's been kinda tender. Today I think I may have accidentally pulled on it and I looked and there was a little blood, then I got home and took a closer look and pushed the bar up to see the top hole and some soft bloody tissue popped out of the hole so I tried to dry it off with a Qtip, at first I thought it was just puss. It looks a bit better an hour later but I'm still worried about it. I clean in every other day in the shower.
