Fetal Heart Rate?

Just got my home fetal Doppler and was so anxious I tried it out. The heart rate kept jumping between 135 to 127.. but mostly the low 120's. Is this okay? I'm getting scared.. I'm 8 weeks 1 day.

Fetal heart rates should be 120 or above. They can vary just like ours. Movement can cause fluctuation as well. However, your heart rate shouldn't be over 100, not at rest anyways. If it is, then you should be checked out. When I was 5 weeks I had an internal ultrasound and The heart rate showed up at 124. This is normal, even early on.

That's your heart rate, you just got to be patient on finding it, it takes a while to tell if it's your heart beat or the baby's. The baby's heart beat will be much faster than yours. Maybe 150-180.

That wasn't the fetus u were picking up. I'm willing to bet that when u got those "heart rates" u were close to where your pelvis meets thigh. At 8 weeks it is still early for a doppler to pick up. I have a doppler too. I can easily pick up the "heart rate" at 120s-130s, but that isn't the baby's heartbeat rate. Also, if you pull the doppler away from the hip joint you may hear your own true heart rate around 60 to 80 ish range.

At 8 weeks, it's very unlikely to be able to pick up an accurate heart rate on an at home Doppler. You may be, but wait another few weeks, before you let that worry you. Baby's heart rate will change frequently and is okay as long as it's 120+. Take a deep breath. This is why Dopplers aren't recommended.
