I feel no bonding aspect in breastfeeding. I hate it honestly. I feel like my baby is just constantly attached to me, it sucks. Especially at night I just want to cry and pull my hair out because of how much I hate it sometimes 😔

Is your baby still very young? My baby is 4 weeks and BF kind of irritates me but I go to a breastfeeding support group and see the older babies nursing, more upright and quick about nursing, nursing less often. It gives me hope I won't be propping up this floppy baby on my boob every hour for ever. It will get easier, maybe then there is more of a special bond about it.

If your baby is still very new, I would say it will get better. You're too exhausted in the beginning to enjoy it.

I enjoyed it somewhat. I thought it was special. But I also hated it and was so relieved to be done and I only did it for 8 weeks.

I've been breastfeeding for nearly 8 weeks. 
I don't mind it. It's a means to feed my baby. 
She is Ebf and will stay that way. However I don't feel this amazing bond that I read about.

I didn't feel the bond until he was about 2 months old. I was used to it, and he slept nearly through the night, so I wasn't overly tired, and I loved when he would stop nursing and look up at me and smile. 😍 It is really hard at first. 😣

I feel the same way. My boy was born tiny and with a slight tongue tie which makes it hard for him to latch on. Even now at 8 weeks he has to be held in a specific way so I can't just feed in public, I have to use a manual pump when out and give him a bottle of breast milk. His terrible latch has also led to trapped wind, not nice to see him in so much pain because of how I've chosen to feed him.

That being said it has gotten easier. Around 6 weeks he seemed to get quicker at feeding and would latch easier. If it wasn't for the fact he has gained weight really well and he didn't catch my husband's cold, I would have given up by now. I found the local breastfeeding support group to be really helpful, it made me realise that most women struggle and most women don't get that supposed bond until a lot later on!

How you feel is completely normal. Breastfeeding is hard and painful and almost soul crushing in the beginning for a lot of women - so you are not alone! It's hard to feel like you are bonding with your baby when you are exhausted and feel so used.

The first 4 weeks were the hardest for me because of the pain and the constant feedings (all normal). The only relief I had was when I would pump at night and my husband would give our LO a bottle.

The 4th week was a turn around though. Things started to get easier. By the 6th week I felt like a pro. It didn't bother me near as much and I started to enjoy my LO a lot more. So, hang in there. As the weeks go by things will get easier and you will start to enjoy your LO more.
