gender blood test?

Has anyone had the early gender blood test done? How does it work? And how long until you get the results? I plan on asking my doc at my next appointment but just curious if any of you ladies have had it done. Thanks!

I know they isolate the baby's DNA in your blood. They can tell if it has any genetic issues. I think it takes up to a week to get results. We are doing ours on Monday.

I had mine done last week. Yes it's just a normal blood test from your arm😊 it will let you know either low or high risk for Down syndrome & other things. Mine all came back low risk it's Like 1 in 10,000/ 0.01% so worth the piece of mind! Also if you wish you can find out the gender early & it's really accurate💙💜

It takes 5-7days to get your results. I am going in next Wednesday for the genetic testing, they gave me a box filled with tubes for my blood I think to take to the specialist. But I was told not to open the box so I truly don't know what's in it

My sister had it done 
However when I asked my doctor about it she said she would rather not do it. The test is known to give a lot of false positives for diseases and genetic disorders. If you get a ton of false positives it means a lot more unnecessary testing to find out you got worked up over nothing. 
That's just what I was told but my sister didn't get any false positives so it's really a toss up. Good luck!
