Hello, everyone. I just had Skyla put in about a week ago and have been on the Depo shot for around 10 years, now. My periods have been quite severe in the past (heavy bleeding, anemia, unable to stand) but over the past year on the shot I experienced almost no bleeding or pain at all. It was quite a change. But due to my moods when the shot was wearing off or just injected we decided to go with Skyla.

I know it is still very early and I am still technically on Depo for another month but I am concerned about how much cramping I am experiencing. I have also had 2 internal sonograms over the past few weeks so I am wondering if maybe my cramps are just a result of so many things suddenly being shoved in me? I have been bleeding which is to be expected but it has already been a full week and the cramps I experience are seriously unpleasant. Has anyone else had experiences like this? Will things even out soon? I'm just really worried...
