Am I gaining to much weight?

At 20 weeks pregnant I already gained 25lbs. My doctor said it doesn't show but the scale don't lie. Im tall so I guess it doesn't look so bad. However I started being 150 and now I'm 175. Im on my 5th pregnancy and never made it to this weight size. I'm usually 10lbs smaller at the end of my pregnancy. My son is already weighing in at 1lb so its not him lol. Oh well I can't always be the slim Jim everyone is use to😪

My first pregnancy, start 120 end 165, 2nd start 125 end 175, 3rd start 125 end 195. I'm 20 weeks now and I started at 165 and am 176 now. I've learned my lesson on not to over eating. I've been  struggling with the weight gain, I really just want my baby and I to be healthy. Weight gain is important because you need the extra blood, fluids, tissue and fat to create your special human being. I put the scale away. It helped.

I'll be honest and say yes. It is a lot already. Gaining weight rapidly puts you at higher risk for gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. Discuss it with your doctor and see what he says.

You are only advised to gain 25-35 pounds in your whole pregnancy (even less of you have a high startin BMI) so yes that is a lot for only halfway through. I'd recommend talking to your doctor about healthy eating choices. The "eating for two" saying is just a myth. You only need an extra 300 calories per day while pregnant.

I'll be 19 weeks in two days and have only gained 4lbs. I think their scale is broken lol I swear I've gained more than that. I'm short and stubby so I can see it on myself. Every pregnancy is different and every body is different. Some women lose weight, some only gain a little, and some gain more. I wouldn't stress about it, hun.

I've gained 20 at 20 weeks. My doctor always says "you gained a couple of pounds, nothing to worry about." I think it's mostly my butt lol. I don't step on the scale anymore because it makes me sad, especially because I just don't see the 20 lbs when I look in the mirror.
