is this ok for a diabetic to eat? PLEASE HELP!!!

I made a pineapple lush cake for someone I know who is diabetic. 
The topping has I pouch of sugar free pudding, 8 oz of light cool whip, A 20 oz. can of pineapple with juice mixed together. 
The pineapples are 16g of sugar per 1/2 c. And the cool whip is 1g of sugar per 2 tbsp. 
Is it still low sugar? The cake is sugar free. 
Can anyone help me with this? I don't want to say it's low sugar and it not be. I know that this person will practice portion control also. So I just need to know if that is too much for one serving? 😱
