Guilt over pets (with a new baby)

Does anyone else feel horrible guilt over having a pet who got much less attention during your pregnancy, or since the baby came?

Worse yet... a pet that may need aggressive medical treatment or euthanasia? (All while you're caring for a 4 month old baby?)

I'm wrestling with this now. 😔
