Will you keep your baby in your bedroom for 6mo-1yr?

The American Academy for Pediatrics now suggests to help prevent SIDS that parents keep their babies in the bedroom from 6 mo - 1 yr of age.  We kept our daughter in our room for 4 weeks just for ease of diapering and breast feeding.  I got the worst sleep of my life with her in there.  She would make 1 peep and I was wide awake with my heart pounding wondering what that peep could have been caused by.  Getting her into the nursery was a life saver.  I'm not sure what to do about this next one :l.
