mastitis symptoms?

I skipped a feeding2 nights ago and I was really engorged so my breast was sore. I nursed my baby and pumped and one day later it's still really sore. I don't feel any lumps. Also last night my body was achy and I had chills. Anyone had this before? How long should I wait to call my doctor? I feel better now except for the soreness.

Had this last weekend. Hot shower, massage it like crazy, pump, express and feed from it often. Drinks lots of water and take vitamins if you're into it. Pain relief to bring temp down. I managed to get rid of it before it got worse. Managed to avoid antibiotics :)

You poor thing! I had mastitis and I had galactoceles (milk filled cysts...lovely) I was terrified it was breast cancer as it runs in my family but everything looked fine on the ultrasound. Absolutely terrifying though. Enough to put me off nursing our next child (I'll breastfeed regardless but god it scared me!) Hope you feel better soon xx

I get clogged ducts like every other day I swear. The side that was clogged always feels sore for a little why after. To me it's almost like that "hurts so good" achy feeling after a good workout lol

Call the dr, when I had mastitis I had a high fever (103) chills, aches, my boobs were hard and sore and I could barely lift my arms

Put a potato in the fridge then  cut thin slices and put them around your breast that will help with the inflammation and the coldness helps to relieve the engorgement.. It works great for me when i get a clogged duct.. Pump after nursing.. Try. Gentle massaging with bby oil or vaseline  and express the milk out..  That helped me uncloggin the duct.. I developed a milk blister due to a clogged duct.. I would pump and nurse as much as i could but because of the blister it kept clogging until i got mastitis.. Itwas horrible. I went to the hospital and they prescribed antibiotics.. I felt better the next day.. The mastitis went away but the blister didnt... And now im struggling with clogged ducts again.. I really dont want to stop breastfeeding my bby. Cuz he done like bottles at all.. I dont know waht to do to get rid of the milk blister. I dont want it to get infected 😭

The two times I've had it, I get a red hot spot on my boob that is super painful. The worst thing tho is the fever and chills and the horrible awful sick feeling. It was god awful. Go to the dr immediately if you think it is mastitis- it only gets worse

When I had mastitis there was no mistaking it. It was like lightning shot through my boob. Instant throbbing pain that felt like it would burst. I cried.
