cloth diaper detergent????

I am want to to do cloth diapers. But I don't know what detergent to use. Does any body have any suggestions?

Charlie Banana detergent is what I will be using for his cloth diapers. We are very allergic to Tide.

OUR laundry soap. It's a little pricy at first glance but lasts forever since you use so little. You can order in bulk online. It literally gets clothes super clean and has been amazing for cloth diapers. It's all natural too. A few of my friends have 5-6 kids each and two live on farms. They have all their kids in cloth diapers at one point plus sweaty dirty farmer husbands and their clothes are spotless.

You can check out the detergent index at fluffloveuniversity.com. There's tons of info there. I think most detergents will work but don't use anything with fabric softener in it as that can make them less absorbent.

I use Tide free & clear Bc my skin is so sensitive. We'll be sticking with that - unless I get motivated enough to get back into making my own.

I'm a FTM due in December so no first hand experience from me.  I have been lurking around on a bunch of cloth diapering forums and it seems like the go to detergent Tide Original.  If your water is hard (up to 180), use the powder,  otherwise,  use the liquid.

I heard Tide original is very popular. It's what I'm going to use if my babies tolerate it.
