When are you planning change baby clothes after giving birth?

I know sounds ridiculous but i haven't had baby in like 5 years so i want to know when the appropriate time to change my daughter?

They dont give the baby a bath until at least 8 hours after birth. She will just be in a diaper until after her bath then we will  put clothes on her first 8 hours will be skin to skin time anyway

I'll be having a c-section in the morning,  so will change the baby late evening before 'bed'. It's my routine to have a set of clothes for the day and then change into something else for the night and want to follow that routine with the baby.

I had my first baby last year and I didn't want to do anything besides hold her and sleep lol Granted it was like 11p by the time we got back to our room.. had her via CS. I think it just depends on how you feel, the nurses always had her swaddled I think it was mid day two before I did anything!

Since I want him to wear his own clothes...I'll be changing him as soon as we get on our recovery room. I'll let them clean him up and do the first vitals and everything first.

I'm a ftm and everything I've heard is the hospital provides what you need for baby including diapers and swaddle blankets. Do I really need to bring clothes for her at the hospital? I was only bringing a going home outfit.

My hospital doesn't allow outside clothing so i wont be changing baby's clothes until its time to go home

I am bringing 2 night gowns and his going home outfit. I'm hoping for no spit up, so I can keep him in a night gown over night and put him in his going home outfit
