boyfriend

So I've been with my boyfriend for 5 months now and I'm kind of sick of being in the shadows to everyone and I kind of want him to show me off like I see a lot of boyfriends doing on Facebook and that but when I asked my boyfriend he said he wants to keep things on the down low? But if things are starting to get serious between one another why would he want things to be on the down low? What do I do? Advice? 😩
