Marriage VS Time

I have my own qualms about marriage although it's a beautiful and exciting thing. But personally I find it crazy people marry eachother after being together for a year or less. Say we live to 100, that's literally 1% of your life you know/date them and you decided you wanted to spend however the next 80%, 70%, 60% with that person? That's insane to me. I personally would never do that. And most people I see who DO do that, end up devorcing or separating a little down the line- though it's nice to see it work out. What do you guys think?

(NOTE: This is excluding cases where people were friends i.e. Knew eachother for a long time before dating. Only Marriages where they've been dating as well as knowing eachother for a year or less.)
