How much rent or mortgage do you pay?

For those that are married or living with their SO, I am curious to know how much you all pay for rent or mortgage? I'm sure some of you are blessed to live with your parents or your SO parents. I recently got married last week and we're looking for something to either buy or rent. We live in the DC area so everything is super expensive. A one bedroom here to rent is around $1300/month. To buy a home with 3 bedrooms is around $400,000+ .... I'm a college student but the semester is almost over and I plan on going back to work and only take one or two classes at a time. My husband has a full time job but he does not make enough alone to support us while paying mortgage or rent unless he gets a second job but I wouldn't want him doing that. His parents said if we decide to buy a single home, they don't mind moving in and helping us pay mortgage and bills. But my husband says he much rather prefer that we live alone as husband and wife. Personally I don't mind either way. What do you all think? What's your situation? Please comment below.
