calling baby by middle name?!

My Hubby and I have a name we love. We want him to be called Brooks but the middle name we have picked out (Maddox) sounds better flipped. Should we name him Brooks Maddox & just deal with it not flowing as well or should we name him Maddox Brooks & call him by his middle name since that's the name we want to call him but it just flows better this way... help. I can't choose. I don't want him to hate us for it because everyone will call him Maddox first day of school etc🤔🤔🤔

 Remember that not a lot of people will call him his first and middle name so it's more important to have the first name the one you like best.

My little sister is named Elizabeth Blair and we call her Blair. My mom and dad couldn't agree on names, so my dads pick got put first but we used my moms pick as her name we called her. It's not a big deal AT ALL! The only thing she ever runs into is on the first day of school every year the teacher would call her Elizabeth and she would correct them and that was that. And at doctors offices/ government offices where they go by your legal name, she sometimes has to answer to Elizabeth. She loves her name and the way it's put together and I think it's perfectly fine to call a baby by their middle name!

My husbands family call him by his middle name (because his father has the same first name), and he hates it so much. In fact when I met him he said I could call him anything I wanted so long as it wasn't  his middle name. I say call him by his first name until he can tell you which he prefers and then call him what he wants after that.

I don't think there is anything wrong with using a middle name.  If I were having a boy,  he would have been Spencer Maxwell Walker V.  I would have called him max.  I have two Spencer's in my life (bf and fil) and i was not trying to make things even more complicated by adding a third.

Wait and see what fits him better after he's born. My sister's called Heather Nicole, but she's gone by Nikki (short for Nicole) since she was a baby. Heather just didn't seem to suit her somehow. Personality and looks can play a part in what name you decide to call him by too :)

I love Maddox Brooks! 😍 I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with calling someone by their middle name. My nephew's name is Jack Huxton and we all call him Huxton (or Hux for short). Go with what you like the best mama!
