Epidural?

Question

I want opinions on getting an epidural... I want to know what it was like with one and without one, or if anyone waited a while after contractions before getting one? I feel like I have a low pain tolerance and wouldn't be able to handle really strong contractions, but I'd like to try...but then again I don't want to wait so long into labor that they can't give me one.

I wanted to deliver my son natural but once I was induced and the pain starting coming in quick , and I wasn't dilating , my only option was csection , once the epidural was in no pain , no contractions. It really wasn't bad, no need to fear 😊

I was induced, I ended up getting an elider at 9 1/2 cm because they thought I would need a c section... you don't know what you can handle until you are going through it, and also they can give you an epidural at any time, they just don't like to her it past a certain point

I wanted to go natural but i was induced.  Before they broke my water I was in almost no pain but once it broke I was in horrible pain with contractions every 30 seconds to a minute and after 6+ hours with too many contractions that were stronger than necessary I caved and got the epidural and it was such a relief I was in no pain and could still move my legs and got up and walked right after I delivered. I had a forceps assisted delivery with 4th degree tearing so I'm glad I got it or I would have had an emergency csection don't be afraid it's always an option labor hurts but it's nothing we weren't meant to handle

I didn't want one when I was delivering my daughter who was stillborn but then in the middle of contractions and labour I wanted the epidural so bad ! I asked for it and they had the doc come in and I had a very high fever so they couldn't but about 5 minutes after that I gave birth so I worked out for the best ! All the pain went away after until they have to get the afterbirth out which was a whole other ball game

I had a very long intense labor because I was induced with my daughter as she had passed away. Nothing was working and I had off the chart back labor for 4 days straight. On the 3rd day I agreed on the epidural and let me tell you I wish I got it the first day! The whole process was already hard enough and I wanted to give up because I was heartbroken and had to deliver her stillborn and nothing was working. That last day of labor was completely pain free, other than some pressure! I really reccomend it!
