fake lashes, what do you guys think?
If I could have a dollar everytime someone gives me crap about wearing fake lashes I'd be buying my car outright. I have naturally very long black lashes. Generally pretty voluminous when I'm not abusing them with mascara lol I will not deny that I'm definitely very blessed in the gene pool when it comes to my lashes. But OCCASIONALLY (and I do mean very occasionally. Like Christmas my birthday or a maybe girls night out) I wear fake lashes. I feel like they totally change the look and make my eyes really really POP. I look better In photos and I when I'm not wearing them sure I can still look good but my lashes naturally point downwards, curling them thins it out and so it's just not the same. Often people don't even notice my lashes till they are at my side. (To which they suddenly burst out with "wow! You have the longest lashes!!!)
But I constantly get crap for wearing them. Make up artists, my mom, my MIL (she's the worst about it) my friends, ect. "Why do you need to wear fakes? You have beautiful lashes!" "I don't know why you bother with those. You don't need them" I know they mean well but every complaint and eyeroll hurts. Everyone wants to be understood. 😔 I've tried explaining but they don't get it and it's just so stupid. It's not like I wear them everyday.
What do you guys think? For fake lashes or against? Do any of you deal with this kind of attitude/how do you handle it?
