Is it worth going to the hospital?

I'm due in 2 days and well with the way thing are going I'm going into labor! I'm having super painful contractions and lower back pain and it's getting to the point where I can't handle it. I've been on tears for hours cause of it. But doctor told me to not come in until my contractions are 5 min apart. They're about 10-15 right now but I seriously can't handle the pain anymore... If I go in would they be able to do something for me? Or just send me home? I'm 2 hours away from where I'm delivering so I don't want to drive that way for nothing.
