Homesick ever since my best friend left for LA yesterday :(

Could I have feelings for him? Or is normal to feel that way? It just feels weird, he's only away for a month and we weren't on the best of terms before he left, I hadn't seen him for 2 months and didn't really care however I saw him the day before he left and now that he's away, I really miss him and can actually feel the distance between us.
