While in the hospital we had to supplement her with formula until my milk came in because her bilirubin was high. Once we got home my milk came in and breastfeeding seemed like a walk in the park up until the end of last week. She started getting a bit of nipple confusion, wasn't latching properly anymore, and wasn't satisfied with just the breast... She wanted the formula and wasn't content without it. Now, she's inconsolable when it comes time to eat unless she gets the formula. I'm not sure if it's because it's thicker and fuller and more satifying or she just doesn't want to latch anymore. I'm at my whits end with breastfeeding and pumping because I feel like there's no point if she isn't satisfied and we end up giving her the formula anyways. She's almost three weeks old. 😞
