extreme heartburn is a sign of labor?

Hi ladies, I'm currently 38 weeks 1 day. I woke up today with the WORST heartburn I've had this entire pregnancy. I did some googling and it says that it could be a sign of early labor. I've been having some contractions here and there. Do any of you know if this is a sign??

Not early labor. I've had awful heartburn since around 28 weeks. I'm now 36+6 and it's almost making me sick. Totally normal as your baby is pushing everything around.

No. I've had it pretty bad its from the baby being big and pushing your food back up so my doctor told me . I've had it so bad the past week that I actually throw up during the night and it wakes me up because its so disgusting . ew. So close to being done . induced on Tuesday .

No I've had heartburn my whole pregnancy. I doubt it means anything! If it did then maybe labor is near for me too!?

I don't think it is, I've had severe heartburn since 14 weeks
